Virtualization

In a university computing environment researchers should not have to worry about the operation and maintenance of their servers.  That is why in addition to clusters, the HPCI in conjunction with ASU’s Engineering Technical Services and the University Technology Office offers virtual servers to replace web, database, and application sites. These systems provide fail-over and load-balancing to ensure the life-cycle of research is completed.  They also allow greater confidentiality and security for data.
